I’m Alex, the photographer behind Alex Faye Media. I’m originally from Florida, and I’ve been taking photos since middle school. I’ve always been drawn to the little things people tend to miss, like the way someone looks at the person they love, the split second before everyone starts laughing, or the moments unfolding quietly in the background. Photography gave me a way to hold onto those things.

That love of storytelling eventually led me to a degree in Journalism, time working as a reporter, a career in marketing, and later a master’s in Integrated Marketing Communication. Photography has always been the thread running through all of it. I care about the creative side, but I also care about the details, the planning, and making sure people feel taken care of.

Weddings became one of my favorite things to photograph because there is so much happening at once. There are the moments you’ve planned for months, and then there are the ones you never could have planned. The nerves before the ceremony, your friends losing it on the dance floor, someone you love tearing up when they think no one is looking, and all the little details you spent so much time choosing all become part of the story.
